Yikai Yin

Research Interests

He became a Ph.D. Student in Wei Cai group at Stanford University in 2016 and is co-advised by Prof. Dauskardt.

Previously, he was a M.S. student in Dauskardt Group working on the fracture behavior of adhesively bonded composites under various environmental conditions.

Previous Research

  • The effect of heat treatment processes on fatigue properties of 20MOCR4 steel
  • Experimental fatigue analysis on different types of joints for advanced high strength steel
  • Fatigue analysis of self-piercing rivet joints for lightweight materials based on fracture mechanics approaches

Awards

  • The University of Michigan-Dearborn Difference Maker, 2014
  • Graduate Student Research Assistantship, 2014
