Research Interests

My research interests lie in using the tools from engineering to understand biological problems. Specifically, I am interested in using mechanics principles to characterize the stratum corneum (SC) under various conditions and develop accessible and appropriate skin therapy. I am interested in understanding how environmental factors, such as humidity and temperature, affect the mechanical properties and the cellular behavior within the stratum corneum. By investigating these factors, I aim to develop appropriate treatments that can help to maintain and improve skin health.
