Research Interests

I am interested in measuring and manipulating the mechanical strength of thin biofilms such as the outermost layer of skin, the stratum corneum. I hope to further our knowledge of the skin’s biomechanics on a molecular level to aid in the engineering of more robust and effective skin treatments.
